Reclaiming your power is rarely a single moment. It’s a series of choices — big and small — that slowly bring you back to yourself.
But let’s be honest: it’s not always smooth. It’s not always light. Because the moment you start to rise…
The old stories come clawing at your ankles. Maybe it looks like finally speaking your truth. Maybe you set a boundary with someone close to you. Maybe you said no — not just to someone else, but to the voice in your head that tells you you’re too much, too loud, too emotional, too sensitive, too you. And in that moment, you might feel powerful.
Clear. Certain. Alive.
But then, the aftershocks hit.
You start to question it. Did I go too far? Was it really necessary to say that out loud? Are people judging me? What if I’ve ruined something?
This is what I call the power hangover.
The emotional echo after you reclaim something sacred. The part of you — the younger, smaller, fearful part — that’s afraid of the consequences of your own truth. And this isn’t a sign that you did something wrong. It’s a sign that you’re breaking patterns. That you’re calling back your energy from all the places you gave it away.
And yes, that can feel tender. Exposed. Confronting. Because every time you claim a new level of power, the old scripts come to the surface — not to punish you, but to be cleared. To ask: Are you really ready for this version of yourself?
And your answer is: Yes. Even now. Especially now.
This is a cycle. A spiral. It will revisit you. But over time, the dips get shallower. The triggers lose their hold. You recognise them faster, move through them with more grace.
And then one day, you catch yourself walking through your life —
Head high.
Shoulders back.
Speaking clearly.
Moving with calm certainty.
Living as your full, divine, magical self.
And it’s not a performance. It’s your new normal. That is the after. That is the embodiment.
And you get there by keeping on choosing you.
Again and again and again.

There was a time a few years ago when I felt completely untethered—emotionally raw, physically unwell, and spiritually disconnected. Life felt heavy, foggy, uncertain. I knew something big was shifting, but I couldn’t see the path ahead. I felt lost in the dark.
One night during this time, I had a dream.
In it, someone was using a rattle—shaking it around the front and the back of my heart. It was intense. I remember the feeling so vividly—it wasn’t gentle. It stirred something in me. It brought tears, discomfort, a sense of being cracked open… but also, a knowing that something was being cleared. That the sound was doing something deep and necessary.
A few days later, I found myself at a gathering with my soul family. We danced, we shared food, we journaled, we laughed. And at one point, we were all dancing when one of my friends brought out a rattle.
My whole heart dropped.
I knew instantly that this was the rattle from my dream.
I felt the nudge—the kind that comes from deep within, from Spirit—and I looked at her and said, “Can you shake the rattle over my back?”
Even as I asked, I could feel resistance bubbling up. I didn’t want to cry in front of everyone. I didn’t want to break open like I had in the dream. But I knew it was coming. I knew I had to allow it.
As she began to rattle behind me, around my back and heart, my body started to tremble. My chest tightened. The tears came. The energy moved. I could feel my heart cracking open—not in a painful way, but in a way that finally allowed the grief, confusion, and density to move.
I wept. My physical body shook. My muscles ached.
And I was held—so deeply held—by my soul sisters who surrounded me in love and safety.
It was a clearing. A healing. A spiritual intervention from my guides that had been preparing me days ahead.
This was long before I began my training as a shamanic practitioner. Long before I knew the ways of the hollow bone or had words for the tools I now work with every day. But this moment stayed with me. It showed me the power of sound. The power of surrender. The power of being witnessed in our unraveling and held in our becoming.

Creativity is not just an activity — it’s a lifeline to your spirit.
A sacred channel to move energy, express what words can’t always reach, and remember who you are beneath the noise. So today’s challenge is simple, powerful, and personal: Express your soul. In any way that calls to you.
Maybe it’s stirring love into a delicious meal, cooking with intention for yourself or your family.
Maybe it’s letting your body lead — putting on a song that moves something in you and dancing until you lose track of time.
Maybe it’s picking up a pen and journaling your truth, sketching whatever wants to come through, or layering colour and texture in a way that soothes your spirit.
Perhaps you go outside and create a mandala from nature’s treasures.
Perhaps your soul-expression today is a message — a love note, a kind word, a voice note to someone you’re thinking of.
However it looks, whatever form it takes — express your soul today. Not because it needs to be seen. Not because it needs to be perfect. But because you deserve to feel the truth of your being flowing through your fingertips, your words, your movement, your love.
Let it be messy. Let it be magical. Let it be yours.
And if you feel called, share your creation or reflection — I’d love to witness your soul in motion. 🌈💫
