"Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom."–Aristotle
The Know Thyself Journal: Self-Discovery Compendium, has been whispering to me in various ways all my life. I have always felt the call to write a book, but I didn't know what I could possibly have to say that was of any value or merit.
Then one day, after years of “doing the work”, a.k.a. inner enquiries, shadow work, learning about my astrology and my human design and much more. I started to see the book that wanted to be birthed through me was a compilation of my story, experiences and learnings, coupled with stories and shares from other people, and teachers in a variety of modalities and subjects.
My journey to Know Thyself has been a self exploration adventure that officially started in 2015. This was my first foray into looking at myself and what makes me tick in relation to my business. Then of course, as these initiations and rites of passage go, I found myself confronted by all the hidden and discarded pieces of myself that I had buried and tried to ignore, and so The Work began.
The book that is in progress now, is a collection of stories, information, tools and tricks, space holding and doorways that can lead you to journey ever deeper into your own soul. Into your own awareness and your own psyche.
This interactive book acts like a journal. A space for you to pour your findings, learnings and discoveries into. Complete with blank spaces to add your personal details, notes and entries. Spaces for doodling and connecting with your creative side. Links and resources for your journey, and much more.
With three main pillars: know thy mind, know thy body, and know thy soul, you will discover that all three parts are intrinsically linked, and in need of witnessing and integrating fully to be able to live a life fulfilled, meaningful and full of self love, compassion and acceptance.
This flowing, growing creation that I have been entrusted to nurture and tend to is a work in progress, and I am so excited to see what it fully forms into when it’s ready to be released into the world.
As is the nature of all creation, it will never be “complete”. There will always be more to learn, always more to let go of and always more to embrace. So here's to the journey of Knowing Thyself and releasing this book into the wild when they say they are ready.
Big Love
Jen
A Call for Stories
Know Thyself Journal: The Self Discovery Compendium
As this book is an exploration of what it truly means to know yourself: Looking into your inner world, your patterns, your attachments, your shadows, your body, your soul.
I’m inviting a small number of people to contribute short personal stories about their journey of self-discovery. Do you think you can help?
You might share:
A moment that changed how you saw yourself
A pattern you became conscious of
A relationship, breakdown, or awakening that taught you something vital
A time you met your shadow, your inner child, or your truth
What “knowing yourself” has meant for you, and how it’s still unfolding
What I’m looking for:
A short written piece (approx. 500–1,000 words, or shorter reflections 300-600 words)
Written in your own voice
True to your experience
No need to teach, fix, or inspire — just be real
If this feels like a yes in your body, I’d love to hear from you. Below is a list of prompts to help you feel into wether you have a story to share. You don’t need to answer all of these. Let one or two open the door and see what wants to be expressed.
This book is a compendium. A gathering of voices, paths, and truths. A reminder that none of us walk this road alone. Does your voice want to be heard too?
You can submit your stories for consideration at the bottom of this page using the form attached.

Listen Up
Alongside the book, the Know Thyself Podcast offers a more conversational space for self-inquiry. Here, I share my personal journey of getting to know myself more deeply — exploring inner landscapes, patterns, healing, and meaning through thoughts, reflections, and gentle musings. It’s an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and discover what’s unfolding for you too.
