“Stories we tell can inspire, light up, lift up and bring joy to those who read them.
I write here for all to see in the hope that my words find the people that need them.”
I started sharing my ‘Mindset’ journey in 2018 after discovering the world of self help, and finding that the things I was learning, were really turning my life around. I wanted to share this knowledge as the more I found out, the more I realised how important it was that everyone had access to this information.
Below are a few of my blogs from that time and some more recent revelations too, as the learning is never over when it comes to self development. Another level, another devil! Haha.
I hope you enjoy and find my experiences and findings helpful.
Much love xx
What Does It Mean to Empower Yourself?
Empowerment is a form of Rebellion, so of course it's close to my heart. Haha! To me empowerment means choosing yourself, doing what is best for you. Listening to your own inner voice and following it, despite what others may say.
The world isn’t exactly geared towards allowing people to empower themselves. The world - historically speaking - has an agenda to keep its people in line.
Shadow Work: What It Is, Why It Matters, and How to Begin
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, nature invites us inward. Winter is a time of stillness, reflection, and deep inner work—a perfect mirror for what’s known as shadow work.
You might have heard this term before and wondered, What exactly is shadow work, and how do I do it?
Let’s explore.
Understanding the Creatrix Archetype: A Deeper Dive into the Role of the Creatrix in Modern Spirituality and Personal Development
In recent years, the concept of the "Creatrix" has emerged as a powerful archetype in discussions about spirituality, creativity, and personal development. The term itself, derived from the Latin word "creatrix," meaning "female creator," embodies the essence of feminine creative energy. This archetype signifies more than just artistic expression; it encapsulates the transformative power of creativity and its potential to shape our lives and spiritual journeys.
The Power of Daily Creativity
In a world that often prioritises productivity and efficiency, the importance of creativity can sometimes be overlooked. However, integrating creativity into our daily routines is not just about artistic expression; it’s a powerful tool for enhancing mental health and spiritual well-being.
Shame, the Passion killer!
Shame is a killer. It sits there eating away at you. Crippling you with its parasitic tendrils working their way into your thoughts.
Feeling shame stops you from expressing, from enjoying, from doing, from being happy with yourself.
It creeps in so subtly.
Recently I took myself on a guided meditation within and asked my body to show me where my shame was. I felt a flickering and a pull near my stomach. I allowed this feeling to grow then I asked where my passion was….
A Letter To My Daughter - Aged 11
Last night I finished ‘The Good Place’ on Netflix and then watched ‘2 Hearts’…. Needless to say I was an emotional wreck lol.
I got into bed and felt called to write in a book I’ve got for Isla. I write in it few and far between, maybe once a year, and started when she was five. But I just had to write in it last night and I love what came out.
Feeling like it’s wisdom I just need her to know, and if anything was to ever happen to me, that I have told her how proud I am and all the little tips and tricks I have learnt along the way.
I won’t go out of my way to show Isla, as first of all this stuff is big, and she needs to figure out life on her own for a bit, but the information is there for her when the time is right and she starts searching for answers.
I wanted to share on my website though as the information is the gold I have learnt along my healing and self development spiritual path, so I wanted to share with anyone that wants to read it too.
Alchemising Emotions into Creativity
One of the biggest lessons I have learnt on my own journey of self discovery, self love and self acceptance is that actually feeling my feelings, means I can learn from them and move through them.
We all have a fear of feeling our feelings, even the good feelings. Who has ever held themselves back from loving someone fully, as you are worried you will get hurt?
Who has ever lost a loved one and thrown themselves into ‘action’ so they don’t have to stop and feel the weight of that grief?
We all do it. It’s human nature to protect ourselves, and that all it is. Our inner child, our ego, our human self trying to keep us safe. But here’s the thing, blocking those feelings doesn’t keep us safe, its limits us.
Be open, be vulnerable.
In life you have to be vulnerable. You can’t live closed off. You will never live up to your highest potential with an abundance of joy and love, if you don't open up.
It's time to move on - Change.
I feel like I have always been good at following my dreams. I have never been afraid to take that leap or make that scary step towards my future. My dream was so clear over the last few years and I have been working towards it relentlessly…..What do I do now though?
