Sunday Soul Check-In - Journal prompts to support you before a new week begins.

There’s something that happens on a Sunday evening for a lot of people.

That quiet creeping feeling… the Monday dread.

The thought of starting a new week — the routines, the responsibilities, the systems that don’t nourish the soul.

I used to feel it too.

That sinking sensation of knowing the weekend is over and you’ve got to gear up for another five days of something that doesn’t light you up.

School, jobs, boxes to tick, versions of life that aren’t really yours.

That feeling doesn’t come from laziness — it comes from misalignment.

From a life that’s out of sync with your truth, your joy, your freedom.

But what I’ve learned is that you can begin to shift it — not with toxic positivity or pretending it’s all fine — but with presence.

With intention.

With a little time to check in with your soul before the week begins.

So here’s a soft invitation:

Instead of letting Sunday dread take over…

Turn it into Sunday devotion.

Light a candle.

Take a breath.

And open your journal to explore what’s really moving inside you.

🌙 Sunday Soul Check-In Prompts (do some, none or all):

  • What emotions have I been carrying this past week, and what am I ready to release?

  • What was a moment of joy, insight, or beauty that I want to remember?

  • What do I need support with in the week ahead?

  • What would a nourishing, soul-aligned week feel like for me?

  • What can I choose to prioritise this week that honours me?

  • What is one thing I can do to come home to myself when the week gets heavy?

Let this be your new Sunday ritual —

A moment to pause.

To remember what really matters.

To reconnect with your soul before the world starts spinning again.

Because Monday doesn’t have to be something you dread.

It can be the beginning of something beautiful — when you start it from a place of truth.

When we first begin walking the healing path, it can feel like a wildfire.

We start uncovering layer after layer — trauma, patterns, wounds, pieces of ourselves we’ve buried deep. And in the beginning, it feels powerful. Like momentum. Like we’ve finally cracked the code and now we must keep going. But healing can become a trap if we don’t allow ourselves to rest.

I see it often — and I’ve felt it myself — the addiction to “doing the work.” The belief that unless we’re unravelling something, uncovering something, processing something… we’re not moving forward.

But here’s the truth:

Rest is medicine.

Integration is part of the healing.

Without it, we stack layer after layer of emotional and energetic processing without giving our systems time to catch up. And that can be just as destabilising as the wounds we’re trying to heal.

Healing is cyclical. Just like nature.

🌱 There are times of growth and newness.

☀️ There are times of full embodiment and vitality.

🍂 There are times of letting go and clearing.

❄️ And there are times of winter — of stillness, silence, and deep rest.

If we stay stuck in the “autumn” season — always releasing, always letting go, always clearing — we never allow our nervous systems to recover. We stay in a constant state of output. And that leads to burnout — spiritual, emotional, physical.

We forget that the whole point of the healing journey is not just to heal.

It’s to live.
To love.
To feel.
To grow.

To embody the work we’ve done and let it shape how we move through the world. We clear the old not so we can endlessly process — but so we can experience wholeness. So we can dance. Laugh. Play. Rest. Receive.

This is why I honour rest as ritual in my work. It’s not an afterthought. It’s a vital part of the cycle. It’s the space between initiations where the medicine actually lands. If you’re feeling tired… if you’re not sure what the next “layer” is…

Maybe it’s not another deep dive.

Maybe it’s time to pause.

To let the healing you’ve already done settle into your bones.

To trust that it’s enough, for now.

Rest is not a break from healing.

Rest IS the healing.

✨ Card Reveal: Compassion – The Great Grandmothers (Card 28) ✨

I’ve been holding this one close to my heart…

This card was never just a card — it was a journey. A remembering. A reverent weaving of ancient connection through time and soul.

Years ago, during a deep meditation, I found myself descending — sinking into the earth, into the void space, that liminal realm where time doesn’t exist. There, waiting in the stillness, were four ancient grandmothers. I didn’t know them by name, but I knew them by heart. They were Wisdom Keepers — timeless, ageless, holding the sacred codes of evolution within their very presence.

They showed me how to weave light from their hair — rainbow strands of multicoloured frequency spiralling into a pool at the centre of the earth. It felt as though, together, we were reweaving the web of life. Healing the timelines. Healing ourselves. Healing the world.

After that journey, I had to paint what I saw. I needed to give form to the formless, brush the memory onto canvas so it could exist beyond the realms of dream and vision.

And then… years later, as technology evolved and digital alchemy became part of my creative process, I found a way to merge those original paintings with digital art tools — using AI and Photoshop like sacred assistants. Through layered imagery, channelled creativity, and intentional design, this card was reborn.

Card 28: Compassion – Great Grandmothers is a portal. A remembrance.

A soft, powerful invitation to reconnect with the ancient feminine that lives in all of us.

They are the creators of everything — the weavers of time, the guardians of balance, the mothers of humanity.

Their question to you is this:

What would shift if you allowed yourself to be fully held by the compassion of the ancient ones?

What would it feel like to surrender to that kind of unconditional, primal love — the kind that has no beginning and no end?

They are here. They’ve always been here.

And through this card, they’re reaching out to you.
